What We Do

AWAC Core Themes

Education:

To advocate for an affirmative policy action and improve the educational environment through advocacy to increase enrollment of girls to primary and higher education.

 

Access to Justice:

To increase public awareness about women’s rights and promote the Elimination of Violence Against Women law.

 

Political Participation and Leadership

To oversee the implementation of 30% quota for women in Afghan Government. The purpose is to ensure that women hold seats in line ministries, as regulated by Afghanistan National Development Strategy (ANDS) and National Action Plan for Women of Afghanistan (NAPWA).
